My Role: Content Strategist/Writer
Industry: Business Services

As part of an initative to improve our emails with clients, I worked on our business compliance email series for Corporate Tools LLC. Due to business privacy standards, exact details about this project can’t be provided.

Original Problem:

In order to maintain a company’s good standing with their Secretary of State, most business types (LLC, corporations, etc.) must file paperwork on a regular basis to indicate they’re still doing business. The companies we were contracted with, such as Northwest Registered Agent, would file this paperwork for their clients.

The compliance service emails were originally created separate from one another, lacking helpful information informing clients about this service, and did not provide a clear value proposition.

My Role:

  • Mapped out existing emails in the product flow and their content.
  • Worked with marketing and product teams to make sure the content, tone, and structure fit the new content standards laid out by the marketing team.
  • Rewrote emails in the series (8-10 emails) with a focus on why clients should add this compliance service to their business service suite, in order to save them time, effort and stress.
  • Built A/B testing on multiple emails for subject lines and CTA buttons.

Impact:

The revised email campaign indicated a noticable uptick in compliance services purchased by clients. This email campaign series was also used as an example of how to implement our improved content standards in emails for clearer and value-driven content.
